Make it yoursMatch the template to your product's stage. Before you build, the Concept testing survey checks whether an idea is understood and wanted; during a beta, the Product testing survey shows where testers struggled; once people use it regularly, the Product-market fit survey asks how disappointed they would be without it. Asking the fit question too early, before people have really used the product, gives you noise.
It asks users how they would feel if they could no longer use your product: very disappointed, somewhat disappointed or not disappointed. This template asks only people who have actually used the product.
Ask the disappointment question to active users, then ask each group a different follow-up about what they value and who they think the product is for. The Product-market fit template is set up with that branching.
People who have just tried the product or feature, ideally right after a session. Share the survey by link so testers can answer straight away.
