It follows up on thin answers
Youform shows a question and stores the reply. chatform reads free-text replies and asks again when one is too vague to use, so "growth" becomes which kind of growth. Choice and consent answers are matched exactly and never go to a model.
It answers questions back
On Pro, up to 50 knowledge sources, quoted mid-form, and then it returns to the question it was on. A respondent with a question about price or eligibility gets an answer instead of leaving to email you.
It goes back for the people who left
Both products keep partial answers on their Pro plans. We could not find any way on Youform to remind the people who left. chatform, on Pro, sends up to three reminders worded differently, each linking back to the exact question they stopped on with their answers intact.

Google sign-in or an SMS code can gate who answers, from chatform Pro at $16 a month billed yearly. Youform puts email and SMS verification on Business, at $60 a month billed yearly, and its SMS needs your own Twilio account.

Is chatform free like Youform?
Both have unlimited responses free, each with a fair-use limit; chatform's free plan allows up to 100 forms. The difference is the AI: chatform's free plan includes 200 AI conversations a month, and past that the form keeps collecting and asks each question exactly as written.
Does Youform have AI follow-up questions?
We could not find a conversational mode on Youform's public pages that reads an answer and asks a follow-up when it is too thin. chatform does that on every plan, including free.
Is chatform cheaper than Youform?
On paid plans, yes: chatform Pro is $16 a month billed yearly or $24 monthly; Youform Pro is $20 billed yearly or $29 monthly. Both free plans cost nothing and have unlimited responses.
Should I switch from Youform to chatform?
Not if your forms are short and clear, or you need Stripe payments processed inside the form. Switch the ones where answers come back vague, where respondents have questions of their own, or where you lose people halfway and want to go back for them.
