Questions to consider
- Books, films or both? Mixing them causes arguments, so pick one and say so in the greeting.
- How far into the series should the questions go, and are your players fine with spoilers?
- Is this for a book club, a trivia night or a school library event? That sets how hard the questions should be.
- Do you want the no-points house question, or would you rather use that slot for another scored question?
How to use the responses
Sort responses by score to crown a winner or split players into teams of similar strength. The house question lets you run a house cup: export to CSV and total the scores by house. If most players miss the same question, it is either a great trap or it relies on a detail only film fans know, so check the wording.
How to customize and share it

The books. A few answers differ in the films, so the greeting says which one it follows. You can edit any question to match the films instead.
Does the Harry Potter trivia quiz have spoilers?
Yes, for all seven books, including who the Half-Blood Prince is. The greeting warns players before the first question.
How is the quiz scored?
Each correct answer is worth a point. In the Horcrux round each right pick adds a point and each wrong one takes a point away. The total picks one of three results.
Can I run a house cup with this quiz?
Yes. An early question asks for a house without scoring it, so you can export the responses to CSV and add up scores per house.
