Questions to consider for your workshop registration form
- What will attendees need installed or brought on the day, and how early should they know?
- How many places does each session have, and what happens when one fills?
- Is there a level below which the workshop won't work for someone? Say so in the greeting.
- Do you have loaner machines, or should that option come out of the setup question?
How to use the responses
Split responses by experience level and send two different prep emails: beginners get the pre-reading and extra setup help, experienced attendees get a note on what you'll cover in depth. Count the operating systems so you can prepare instructions for each, and set aside loaner machines for everyone who asked. Read the goals before the day and open by naming the most common ones.
